Hi. I tried installing the lj client for Windows..and it said somthing about not haveing a .NET framework..what do i do?!?!?

You need to download and install the .NET framework using Windows update.

Linux isn't for you - it's an operating system. An operating system is the fundamental software that runs all your other applications (like Windows). .NET doesn't exist for Linux, dneighbo was implying that if you got rid of Windows and moved to Linux you wouldn't need a .NET framework because there aren't any applications that would use it.
