Hello, guys. In the documentation I was promised cool statistics about usage of my livejournal client program. What I send is a login request with a clientversion parameter with the value of "Linux-centericq/4.9.7", so it must match the initial clients naming convention. However, it doesn't work. I mean, I don't see any clients mentioned on the userinfo page after I post some items. Am I doing anything wrong, or maybe livejournal clients must be registered somewhere separately?

Clients are no longer being recorded.

How come? Why doesn't the documentation reflect that?

IIRC, it was removed because it supposedly constituted 12% of all global writes and also because people were using it to write abusive things on userinfos/the stats page.

I imagine the documentation does not reflect that because it has not been updated. Or possibly because other LJ-based sites that you could develop your client for may still be recording client stats.
