i know this isn't quite the correct place to post this, but i can't find anywhere better, please send me somwhere else if they are more appropriate...

I want to pull back information about a user, for a year previouse, and i would prefer to do it from either an eml feed, or similar, i guess, rather than screen scraping.. I am awfull at finding information, and I can only assume there is a resource, or dev guide for interacting with LJ, without needing to scrape, or mimic itsown posts/gets etc...

where is my starting point??

cheers

You want to use the getevents command in the LiveJournal protocol.

If you can, find an XML-RPC library for your platform and use that, as it makes speaking the protocol a whole lot easier.
