Hey, I am new to live journal and I think it's an awesome community, and a very well programmed system! I love that it advocates open source and has an open client API as well, and you can bet I'll be contributing something at some point. I am actually curious as to where I can find some terms of use, particularly to answer a question about importing data from an old journal site I ran. I have consolidated a couple years worth of posts into an xml format with plans of creating a new site, before I heard about live journal; I was wondering if it would be acceptable to write a script to import all the archived posts with the respective date/time, subject, and body to my live journal account.

Thanks,
Harlan

sounds reasonable to me. please insert a small delay (maybe a few seconds) between each post so you don't cause a spike in the load. and remember to set the backdated flag if you don't want them to show up in peoples friends lists. :)
