Hey, how about that, another LiveJournal client has made it's way onto the web.

JLive is a Java LiveJournal client that I've been working on for a small amount of time, and is currently in a perma-alpha phase. I know there are a few problems with it at the moment which I'm working on fixing (resizing the main window doesn't resize the internal children, resizing internal children just seems to not work at all), but I believe it's pretty stable for the most part.

If you want more details, check out either my LiveJournal, or my website (http://www.DanielGrantTaylor.com/Personal/Projects and then check JLive).

Let me know what you think,
D.

Pretty cool. MDI interfaces are neat.

1) Get rid of the DOS box. Ewww. (I imagine it's just for debugging right now, as it spits out all that stuff.)

2) Make it useable with other sites (such as Plogs.net/uJournal).

3) Java's UI sucks so bad... isn't there a custom Java UI out there somewhere that looks anywhere near decent?

Other than that, good luck with it. Try to support XML-RPC as soon as you can, I don't think the flat mode is going to live for very much longer. (Months, probably, but not years.)

Re: Good

Eh, won't be too much competition while I'm in classes this term :)

G'luck and enjoy :)
