LiveJournal Client Discussions

[mood |curiouscurious]

Does anyone know if setting the comment screening policy (as the Web client does, mentioned in the February status report) is or will be supported in the normal client protocols?

It's automatically supported by the client protocol. The web update form uses the client protocol.

Go try it. :P

I'm not so sure...

When I first implemented friends-only posting in my client, based on the Web client, it didn't work. And to this day, the Web client isn't exactly like the protocol in the friends/custom department.

That said, this seems to work, once the bugs are out of it. Warnings would have saved this question, but my client doesn't use them because of (now-former, it seems) parser bugs in Perl. D'oh.
