friendof colours [Apr. 2nd, 2004|03:48 pm]

I've just added support for the friendof mode to my client.

It always seems to return white/black for the fg/bg colours, and I can't see a way to change the colours on the LJ website, so is it worth even returning the colours, if they can't be changed?

I can't even find my friendof page on the website, there is an entry in my userinfo page.

I assumed that the colours returned from the friendof mode are the colours that the person who lists you as a friend, has assigned to your posts, but that doesn't seem to be the case, as the getfriends mode returns different colours. I could be getting the wrong end of the stick here though ;)

Also, are the flat docs being updated, as I'm sure the login mode didn't return friendgroups before....

I don't think there is such a thing as colors for friend-ofs. It's probably just a glitch in the protocol that it appears to return them.

Yeah, well it's documented and is returning them, but I guess the ability to make use of it has been left out of the website - maybe the official client uses it?
