Is anyone aware of, or planing to write a client capable of simultaneously posting to movabletype and LJ? If not I am seriously considering merging 2 open source clients into a functional frankenstein.

comments, suggestions?

Last I checked there were 2. Couldn't get either one to work properly. Mind posting your sample (minus log in info ofcoarse)

Oh, hell, completely forgot to reply to this comment... only saw it when I was cleaning out my mailbox.

Will e-mail you the zip file, 'cause I had charged someone for the time spent rewriting the thing to handle multiple lj and xangas (Probably not the most honest thing, since the original author of the plug-in was distributing it free... Eh.. I needed money at the time though, and it's a welcome source of income when one has no real job.). There is no login info, it's not hardcoded in... the user can input it him/herself.

I have been considering using MT on my website so that I could also do tracking on there as well as LJ, could you email that to me as well, if you want, i will host it on my site for a while to save you the trouble.

Mmm, I'd actually suggest getting the offical MTLJPost (hit google, I think I spelled it correctly). It should do what you want and you'd get better support. :P Mine would only be useful if you wanted to post to multiple livejournal or to xanga...

Must of had a misunderstanding as to what your client actually did. Thanks for the information though.

Bleh. Make that your yahoo e-mail, as listed on yahoo profiles, since there doesn't appear to be a better one within 3 minutes of searching.

Don't know if you'll actually get to see this, since it's been some weeks since the last post. I'm looking for a client that will post to LJ and xanga simultaneously. Do you think I could get your version? Or is there one I could find out on the internet somewhere? I don't know too much about clients, so I'm just trying to get some basic research in to figure out what I need to do. Thanks.

Unless you run your own weblog on your own server I'd recommend w bloggar. It's nice, simple and should do what you need.

Well, mine isn't a client, per se, but a plugin for the MT (Movable Type) blogging system.

I already use MTLJCrosspost on my MT blog to post all my entries to LJ. If you have something that can crosspost oto xanga, too, I'd be interested in seeing it. Could you email it to me?
