Soliloquy ver. 0.1 has been finally released!

Soliloquy is a LiveJournal client programm for for Java 2 ME enabled devices (mobile phones, PDA, smartphones).

Soliloquy is a young project. It has been less than a month since first release, active development is still in progress.
Following functionality is currently avaliable:

  • Posts in different languages

  • Current Mood and Current Music fields

  • It is possible to choose specific userpic and a journal to post

  • Backdated entries are supported

  • Saving drafts and editing them without actually posting is supported

Soliloquy will evolve, right now we are adding multi-language interface support,
in the distant future we're planning to develop PalmOS and/or Symbian version.

Soliloquy is an Open Source project. It it licensed under Sun PL. Yet we may change it, if Sun PL seems inadequate in some way to you, and you can provide us with suggestions.
Any developer is welcomed to join the project!

Soliloquy is free. [Download ver. 0.1]
So far, it has been tested on Nokia 7210, S-E T-610 and K500, Siemens S55.
It is very likely to work on yours, too. We would appreciate if you share your succesful or not-so-succesful experience with Soliloquy with us. For all ideas/critics/wishes we've created
bluesteel_dev.

Sincerely yours - Bluesteel (anatoliy, euk and vyaryx).

I will try to test this on my 6100 (I think that is what I have, I forget sometimes, it's the one with the stupid round dial of numbers).

Hi,

1)do you have GPRS properly set up and working ? E.g. does your built in WAP browser work ok ?
2)Do you mark "Login now" box on the first screen ?

S55 is a capricious kind of a cellphone. There might be some bugs with synchronicity of I/O. Be patient, we'll try to fix it in a while.

We've found this bug. Actually we haven't tested Soliloquy v. 0.1 properly on S55. It seemed Siemens Mobile Toolkit emulates fine that one.
But now it should work. Please try version 0.11

What kind of errors? 0.11 is a kind of alpha-release so it includes some debug-messaging. Does your wap-browser work well? Have you tested any other midlets using gprs connection such as MobICQ?
Maybe we should use russian?
