The return from LJ.XMLRPC.getdaycounts should be, according to the documentation:

[struct](required)
Containing keys:
daycounts(required):
[array](required) Containing items:
[struct](optional; multiple allowed) For each day that the user has posted a journal entry, a struct is returned in the list.
Containing keys:
date(required):
[scalar](required)The date, in yyyy-dd-mm format.
count(required):
[scalar](required)The number of journal entries on that date.

It turns out the daycounts array is not returned if the array is empty. Should someone fix either the code or the docs?

This is totally unrelated to your post, but I had someone refer me here to this LJ, looking for something called "lj archive"... and I can't seem to find it. Maybe he had the name wrong. I'm looking for something that will let me save my entries as .txt, .rtf or even .doc files... Can you point me in the right direction please?
