I should really mention that I upated Crosspost recently... 0.2.1 Alpha!|
Changes in this version include complete MySpace blog support as well as a completed update to the Blogger API.
Currently supported blog services are:
Give it a whirl. If you have ideas for added features, go here.
Posted by Crosspost! software.
Do you mean that myspace uses blogger api?
No. Crosspost implements multiple APIs to provide a single interface to many blogging services. You can write a post once, click a single button, and Crosspost to any or all of your blogs at once.
MySpace and Xanga do not have public APIs like LJ and Blogger, unfortunately.
the java .jar doesn't work in linux
$ java -jar crosspost-jar-0.2.1-alpha.jar
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: no swt-win32-3138 in java.library.path

Yeah, you need the correct swt natives for linux. I don't bundle them since they're, well, native... and I'd have to bundle them for ever platform available so as not to be biased. =P
ok, so what do i need to download/install in order to use your program in linux?:)
i need myspace support
well, i installed a libswt-gtk2 rpm, but it still said "no swt-win32".... i shouldn't need that, cuz using linux, right?
Hmmm.. let me look into that today.
ok, i got it working now:)
quick q, is it possible to automatically start with default profile?
basically i want to make it to where as soon as i start program i can start posting my myspace blog entry.
Not at the moment, but feel free to add it as a feature request. I know that in programs like Trillian there is an option for "single user" or "multiple user" modes. Perhaps I could implement something like that in the future.
oh yeah, i forgot it's probably designed more for a single user operationg system(xp).
do you know of native win32 myspace clients, or if there are any? i was just curious.
I downloaded CrossPost, but when I try to launch it, I receive the following error:
Could not find the main class. Program will exit.
If it matters, I have Windows ME.
The OS shouldn't matter, but do you know what version of Java you have running on your system?
No, I don't. I really don't know much about java, so would you mind telling me how to find out what I have (and how to update it if it's an old version)? I'd really appreciate it!
I figured I'd start a new reply since our reply-chain was getting a bit long. I have another question that *may* have something to do with my computer's inability to run Crosspost.
My question is, what should CP's desktop icon be? The reason I'm asking is, the icon I see is this:http://img89.imageshack.us/img89/7231/cpicon1bc.gif
Usually, I only see this icon used for setup files and whatnot, rather than actual applications. Should I be seeing something else, or is this simply the icon that CP uses?
