LiveJournal Client Discussions

[mood |curiouscurious]

Does anyone know of any clients/scripts/anything that can do a search/replace on an entire journal? I've got a bunch of images linked over the past few years on my LJ, and now need to change the hosting for them, and it'd be handy if there was something I could use to just crunch through all the entries and update the URLs.

I've only heard of one. There've been a bunch of clients/scripts to mass-edit post security, or download a journal and edit the offline copy though. It was posted about to the lj_nifty community here. Not sure if its links are still valid (if not Wayback Machine?).

Just in the interests of caution: Some past (security) mass-edit tools have had a data-loss bug (details), also warned about here.

I haven't used the above tool myself. So I can't say whether it'll work, or delete/mung entries due to bugs, shoot your dog etc., etc! :o)
