UPDATE: I'm working on the XML for my FLASH LJ client, and I need to know where to send the login/post data to (the actual files to post to) , and what port to use when opening a socket. any help would be appreciated greatly!

It's an HTTP protocal. That means, port 80, and you post it like to a web server. See this page for the protocal. Good luck! :)

btw i have a page on my site with all kinds of links dealing with XML, Flash and SVG. Maybe it might come in handy?

wow thanks for telling me way after i tried to drive myself nuts finding stuff like that! lol, thanks alot ohwhen...i *might* go back to the flash client and finish it this summer, i'm going to start on a C++ on in a week or so. thanks again!

send it as a urlencoded string.
