LiveJournal Client Discussions

oh, btw.. now that i finally read some of the comments in here about me... i would like to extend a very special thank you to the people that backstab.

"thanks for being immature, impolite, and incorrect."

oh, and for those that don't know.. i am/was the one responsible for the win32 client.

I hate to say this because it IS very anti-community, but I have viewed the page for the win32 client and have seen a couple of your posts around and all I ever see you do is whine like a baby about how everyone teases you. Why not just get on with your life and get over it? Yes, some people are immature and stupid, but you don't have to return that gesture by being all whiny about it.

respect is something that should be granted to those that have done a lot for livejournal. when new developers ignore the previous contributions, or when those contributions go unacknowledged, the contributers have a right to voice their opinion.

people talk a lot of smack on "the internet" because they dont have to deal with the consequences of what they say. i guarentee that half the people that talk smack on here wouldnt have the balls to say it to my face.

you are entitled to whatever you want to think. just keep in mind that livejournal wouldnt be what it is today if it wasnt for contributions like mine, alan's and others.

Yes, totally understood. I use the LiveJournal clients and do in fact have a great deal of gratitude for what you and others have done. Without the Win32 code as a base, many of the clients today would not exist and I would not be using my current one.

So please do allow me to offer my thanks for your work. I know that it most likely doesn't mean anything coming from me, but I mean it sincerely. I can't say that I directly know what it feels like to be underappreciated by people who definitely do owe you a certain amount of respect, but I can sympathize at least. :(
