I don't know how useful people will find this, but I've written a basic LJ client (WAPLJ) that allows posting to LiveJournal using a WAP compatible mobile phone.

The address is:-

http://planetvj.com/wap/waplj.php

At the moment the following features are implemented in the client:-

- Auto fill of date & time (this is generated fom the server WAPLJ sits on)
- Subject lines
- Entries up to 160 characters long
- Ability to post either Public, Friends only or Private posts.

I've also created a community (waplj) for updates, comments, bugs etc.

Hope people find this tool of some use.

I've had a wap lj client at tapjam.net/lj for a while as well - though i don't have friend/private/public in yet (defaults to public) - but i've got a private version w/moods and security working. I actually did it mainly to test/show off a java lj library that i was writing, but alas, that project has been on hold as real world has been a pain - but it's good to see other wap clients coming along :)

It was after seeing your LJ WAP client a while ago that prompted me to write mine.

I wrote it initally for myself to post if I was away from the PC for any length of time, but I figured I'd see if other people would find it useful, hence the post in here.

I did something quite similar a while back. You can get there from here.

Took a look at it today as I'd not seen it before.

Looks good. Keep up the good work.
