New default security level on posts [Jul. 14th, 2002|10:55 am]

If I send every entry with "&security=$security", when $security is set to public, will this override the default security level set by the user?

So the default security cannot be overridden by a client?

I think thats how it is, which I don't like. Of course, they did call it "minsecurity" as in "Minimum Security" so by the name I guess it should disallow all security levels lower than this setting.

But I know there are people who post 99% of the time as friend sonly anf 1% public - and so this isn't a useful option for those people to use.

Its only for those users who post 100% friends-only or 100% private. - or some mix of friends-only and private with no public at all.

Only on edit, not on post.
That's why it's there, so the client-supplied security won't override it.
