This clients is very, very cool.
However, I have two suggestions - first, the ability to quickly toggle between autodetection of musics. Perhaps have it automatically togleoff if the user manually edits the current music field (because right now, it's useful t have it update on focus, but that means it overwrites your editing if you take away focus for a second and bring it back). Then you could toggle back to auto-detection when that post is sent.
Also, perhaps braking up the post options? (for the sake of compactness)
Like some people may never use the backdate/comment/autoformat checkboxes, or may never change the security of their posts (you may also want to let the user select the default security level). It would be useful if people cold even more customize which features are there in the main window... Just a thought.

Second suggestion is already in development.
Concerning autodetection -- I'll add [Autodetect on focus] checkbox to "moods/music" bar when the "Post Options" bar is splitted to 3 ones.
also, did you implement the sorting via the class that i overrided but then never used?
also, your friends list "state" tab should function under the same design as the the previous tab, disabling and enabling accordingly.
thirdly, the about box does not work from the login window, whic would require someone to actually have access to the livejournal service to find out who the author is and who the code should be attributed to. that would be a violation of the gpl i imagine... so you might want to correct that, especially being that the source is not available... which is also a violation of the gpl.
lastly, with any derived work, all packaging and distributed files must be included with your built exe. with that said, you exclude copyright notices as well as the gpl text.

I've mistyped URL, sorry, it should be http://livejournal.ru/client/LiveJournal_1_1_src.zip
Corrected.that would be a violation of the gpl i imagine...
yeah, you are right, I've corrected things -- about box's working now, readmes added to source and exe and gpl.txt added to source.did you implement the sorting via the class that i overrided but then never used?
I've no idea what are you talking about, see the code for the answer anyway.
i wasnt trying to be a stickler or anything. i was beat to death by people in regards to the gpl before (specifically for the client).. so i didnt want you to incur any of the same notion.
personally, i love open source.. but i am starting to dislike the gpl.

Oh, I'm glad you told me that things..
Firstly I've started to develop the client for the restricted group (Russian community), few people used it, it has even no english interface at the beginning, and I paid no attention to those things, I thought - the code is available and everything is OK..
so, thanx for the clarifying the delicate things
Would just like to say thanks. I've been using your client exclusively at this point and I really like it!
pretty nice looking.. i like your changes.
you should start a journal just for info about your client.. like many of the other clients have..

Yeah, you are right..
Actually there is such a journal, but it's in russian for the main part of my client users are russians... and i thought announcements in lj_clients are enough, i'm not planning greate promotion of my client, really
but it seems it's time to make it, such a journal will appear
You have done an awesome job. I agree with all of the above said except, I'm not so sure I WANT the post options split up. I use them quite a bit. I appreciate this new version so much. Thank you.
having a little red flashing pencil at the bottom of my computer keeps me hooked. I am so addiccted now and being able to manage my entire account from the client is awesome! Great Job. I have spred the word on my lj and will do some more. I know some people who have looked nad have had a hard time locating it.
