Windows Media Player [Oct. 3rd, 2002|02:30 am]

Does anyone know how to detect the current music in Windows Media Player? I'm doing this for a C# client.

WinAmp is easy -- get the window's titlebar text and parse out the name of the currently playing track. But this doesn't work in WMP, and I can't find out how to do it. Is this even possible?

I had investigated that issue for a long time but found no solution.

There is currently no method to do this.
We are investigating adding this as a feature/powertoy in future releases.
As of now, it's not possible.
I'll let you know if there are any changes/updates.

How about enumerating all child Windows within WMP and finding the Window Text from the playlist?
